On September 27 & 28, 2017, D’Youville welcomed alumni, faculty, students, and friends to celebrate a new era in the College’s history with the inauguration of the 15th president of the College – President Lorrie Clemo, Ph.D.
The D’Youville community danced and ate under a tent to the music of Outer Circle Orchestra, explored desserts from a collection of food trucks on campus, came together to celebrate at the Inaugural Gala, and joined members of the higher education community, city leaders, and distinguished guests to welcome the president at Kleinhans Music Hall.

The Inaugural Address
On Friday, September 29, President Clemo delivered her inaugural address, “The Purpose of Being.” In her address at Kleinhans Music Hall, she reflected on the College’s history and outlined her vision for the future to a crowd of delegates from institutions of higher education and members of the D’Youville community.
